Having a variety of resources and support tools ensures a solid foundation to help you find a healthy balance between the demands of the work day and those of your personal life. Fitness Discounts and Reimbursement

The OnePass Select fitness program allows US employees and their families to find a membership tier that helps you and your family be your healthiest. For program details and how to sign up click here. Some Eaton locations offer onsite gym amenities or local discounted fitness programs and resources. Go to Joe > Employee Center > HR > Wellbeing Quick Links.

In addition, Eaton provides eligible employees with an annual reimbursement for approved fitness expenses. Go to JOE > Employee Center and search “fitness reimbursement” for more information.

Adoption Assistance

Eaton offers adoption assistance benefits for employees looking to adopt a child. You do not need to enroll in this program, and it is provided at no cost to you. The adoption assistance benefit provides reimbursement for eligible adoption expenses up to a maximum of $10,000 for each adopted child under the age of 18. Refer to the Summary Plan Description for details on eligible expenses or contact the Eaton Service Center at Fidelity by calling 1-866-328-6601.

Ayco Survivor Support

Financial counseling services are available to you in the event of the death of your spouse/domestic partner. This benefit is also available to a spouse/domestic partner of a deceased employee, and the legal guardian of children of a deceased Eaton employee. Call 1-800-235-3417 for more information.

Ayco Transitional Support for Illness

Care.com

Care.com’s family care benefits are here to support you as you’re trying to manage it all while caring for those you love, including yourself. Eaton offers a Care.com membership, which includes the ability to post jobs and search and reach out to local caregivers 24/7. Search for care for children, adults, or pets, or find services such as housekeeping, tutors, and more. Also included is access to Care.com’s Backup Care services, which is vetted and subsidized adult care and childcare when your regular care is not available. Be sure to visit eaton.care.com to learn more.

COBRA

If you lose your eligibility for Eaton’s health plan coverage due to a covered reason, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) allows you to continue your coverage at your own expense in certain situations. In many cases, your covered spouse/domestic partner and dependent children (your qualified beneficiaries) are also eligible.

The Plans that are group health plans and eligible for COBRA coverage are:

  • Medical

  • Dental

  • Vision

  • Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) and Dental/Vision Reimbursement Account (DVRA) portions of the Reimbursement Account Plans

  • Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

  • Counseling Program, Eaton On-site Health Center and the Tobacco Cessation Program of Live Well at Eaton (EAP)

If you choose to continue coverage through COBRA, Eaton will provide you the same coverage that was previously available to you. If Plan coverage changes for active employees, your coverage will also change. To learn more about COBRA coverage, contact the Eaton Service Center at Fidelity at 866-EATON01 (866-328-6601).

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

Eligible employees can take unpaid, job-protected leave for specified family and medical reasons through the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). If you have been employed by Eaton for at least 12 months and have worked a minimum of 1,250 hours within the last 12 months, the FMLA entitles you to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave each rolling 12-month period. See your Human Resources Department for information concerning the FMLA. To open an FMLA claim contact Sedgwick at 1-866-869-6387 or online via MYSedgwick accessible through JOE. You may continue your benefits coverage for the duration of an FMLA leave.

Family Resources

Eaton provides numerous family planning and parenting support resources to our employees. Below are some of the additional programs we offer:

  • UHC Health Advisor, including Fertility Solutions and the UHC Health Maternity Support Program

  • HSA Reimbursable expenses, including reimbursement for pumping supplies and prenatal vitamins

  • Employee Assistance Program resources for such topics as:

    • Counseling services to address feelings about becoming a new parent, changing family dynamics, postpartum depression/anxiety and more

    • Resources for finding childcare, financial planning services and legal services (such as wills and powers of attorney)

    • Articles and guides for parenting topics such as starting a family, blended families, grandparenting, infants & toddlers, LGBTQ+ youth, special needs and more

Optum Fertility Solutions Plus with Maven

Fertility Solutions Plus combines UnitedHealthcare’s fertility support services and Maven’s digital family health platform to assist employees as they build their families. The service provides proactive intervention and personalized support. Open to all employees looking for assistance or guidance in their family planning journey, Fertility Solutions Plus provides a supportive and inclusive member journey across adoption, surrogacy, IVF and more.

This alliance is designed to help:

  • Provide proactive intervention and personalized support to fertility and family-building services
  • Improve health outcomes and satisfaction
  • Advance diversity, health equity and inclusion

Paid Holidays

It is the practice of Eaton to observe designated holidays by providing time off with pay for eligible employees. Employees observe the following core holidays each year:  New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Paid Parental Leave

In keeping with Eaton’s desire to help make employees’ priorities work and support work-life effectiveness, the purpose of Eaton’s Paid Parental Leave Policy* is to provide employees with paid time off to be with and care for their new child after birth or adoption. The Birth Parent (person who gives birth) is eligible for six weeks of Paid Parental Leave, in addition to six to eight weeks of short-term disability coverage for childbirth. The Paid Parental Leave follows the completion of short-term disability and may not substitute for or be taken in place of short-term disability.

Non-birthing parents are also eligible for six weeks of paid parental leave effective for all births and adoptions that occur on or after September 1, 2023.

Purchased Vacation Program

The Purchased Vacation Program allows you to purchase vacation days in addition to your regular allocation of vacation benefits. During the annual enrollment period and within NetBenefits, you may elect to purchase one work week of additional vacation time to be used during the following year. You are eligible to participate in the Purchased Vacation Program if you work at least 20 hours per week. New hires are not eligible for this benefit in the first year. Vacation

Eaton provides competitive vacation benefits to eligible employees based upon length of service with the Company. Employees are expected to use their vacation time each year during the 12-month calendar year in which the vacation was earned, subject to local or country regulatory requirements. Vacation not used within the calendar year will be forfeited, and payment will not be made in lieu of unused vacation at the end of the calendar year, subject to local or country regulations.
